Pepper Ann Wiki

"Old Best Friend" is the A segment of the third episode of the first season of Pepper Ann and the fourth segment overall; it premiered as part of Disney's One Saturday Morning on September 27, 1997.

Plot[]

Pepper Ann's old best friend, Brenda, visits -- PA's initially excited, but it quickly becomes apparent that she and Brenda just don't make compatible friends anymore and ultimately finds her old-BFF to be annoying and possessive (especially since Brenda ultimately acts no different than she did from when she and PA were eight).

Quotes[]

Brenda's moving van pulls up and she jumps out
Brenda: EEEE! Cubby hug!

She changed everything.

Pepper Ann: These are my best friends Nicky and Milo and they're gonna hang out with us the whole time, okay?!

Brenda: Great! You can show me around!
Brenda puts on a conductor hat

Brenda: All aboard, the Brenda Express! Woo-wooo!! Chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga! I can't hear you!
Pepper Ann gets detention for talking in class

Brenda: Mr. Carter, may I have detention too?
Mr. Carter: We don't just give out detention willy-nilly in these parts, missy. You have to earn--
Brenda throws a paper airplane at Mr. Carter's head
Mr. Carter: ...it.
Brenda: We'll suffer together.

Pepper Ann: Oh goody...
Nicky: Pardon my alliteration, but this boxcar's bailin' at 'Boringville'.
Brenda: Video games? Gee, I think I know how to waste my time for free, thanks.
Pepper Ann: Right. Like I'm that mature!
Brenda: I have to be honest with you, Pepper Ann. We just don't have anything in common anymore. Oh, don't feel bad. I've grown and you've...changed.
Pepper Ann (sadly singing): Brenda, Brenda, Bo-biddly-benda...frienda, frienda, fi-fiddly-frienda...

The Desk Gag[]

"Ooh, five bucks!"
